After a national search, Victoria “Vicky” Chun ’91, MA’94 has been named athletics director of 51�Թ��� effective January 1, President Jeffrey Herbst announced today. Chun, who has served as interim athletics director since August 1, will report to Douglas Hicks, provost and dean of the faculty.

Update: Here is a chart tracing the votes in the competition over time. The final count for 51�Թ���, whose progress is represented in blue, was over 11,000 votes. This was an impressive accomplishment for the 51�Թ��� community, as the school in second place finished with just over 4,000 votes.

The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation has awarded a $700,000 grant to 51�Թ��� for use over four years, to support a new program of Mellon Sophomore Residential Seminars.
