During the final weeks of the Living Writers Series, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø welcomed four authors to campus: Alexander Chee, Terry Tempest Williams, CJ Hauser, and Esi Edugyan.

Newly published research authored by 10 51³Ô¹ÏÍø students and led by Associate Professor of Biology Engda Hagos, reveals how a specific protein inhibits cancer growth at the cellular level, which could one day lead to new cancer treatments. 

Shamarcus Doty ’20 is one of 30 students from 29 different universities across the country selected as a 2020 Rangel Graduate Fellow.

On November 8, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø joined in a nationwide celebration of first-generation college students. Anthony Wright ’20, Diana Flores ’20, and Arturo Max Longoria ’21 are among those community members who are the first in their families to attend college.

51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s commitment to a more sustainable future is earning state and national recognition as Benton Hall is now the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) New York Green Building of the Year, and Jane Pinchin Hall and Burke Hall have earned Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold status.
