51³Ô¹ÏÍø President Brian W. Casey conferred degrees on members of the Class of 2020 during a virtual ceremony, streamed live from Memorial Chapel on Sunday, May 17.

Esther Rosbrook, assistant director of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s ALANA Cultural Center, will assume the director position on June 1. She is currently serving as the center’s assistant director.

The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø chapter of Phi Eta Sigma, the national collegiate honor society, has named Assistant Professor of Spanish Marta Perez-Carbonell as its Professor of the Year for 2020. 

Anthony Aveni, professor emeritus of astronomy, anthropology, and Native American studies at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, says that to understand our current time consciousness, we have to return to a land before time — or at least, time as we know it.
