While Monday, January 19, will be recognized nationally as Martin Luther King Jr. Day, it will also mark the first day of 51�Թ���’s annual “MLK Week,” celebrating the life and legacy of the civil rights movement leader.

51�Թ��� President Jeffrey Herbst today announced that he has decided not to seek renewal of his contract when it concludes on June 30, 2015. The 16th president of 51�Թ���, Herbst has held the office since 2010. Professor of History Jill Harsin will serve as interim president during the search for Herbst’s successor.
