Thought Into Action Incubator Hosts Virtual Venture Showcase

Last week, faculty and staff from several departments spearheaded an effort to provide and deliver care packages to 243 students in residence on campus.

As 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Dining Services shifted to meal deliveries for nearly 300 students living on campus last week, more than three dozen University staff have stepped up to help with the effort to provide for this community. 

Jaritza Núñez ’21 has been named as a recipient of the 2020 Newman Civic Fellowship from Campus Compact.

As national and international communities work to contain the global spread of COVID-19, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s team of staff and faculty members across campus continues preparations to provide for a safe environment for living and learning, with the priority always being the health and well-being of our community.

51³Ô¹ÏÍø celebrates Charter Day on March 5 with events that invoke the memory of the Institution’s 13 founders.

With a keynote event in Memorial Chapel on January 30, Black Lives Matter co-founder Opal Tometi helped 51³Ô¹ÏÍø close its 10-day commemoration of Martin Luther King Jr.

Dorsey Spencer Jr., director of administration in the office of the vice president for student affairs at Florida State University, has been named dean of students at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø.

Two related exhibitions open at the Picker Art Gallery on January 30.

With the arrival of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s third century, new iconography will highlight the leading characteristics of Residential Commons namesakes and link those noble traits, in perpetuity, to the University’s living-learning communities.
