MindSpa in the Chapel:
The MindSpa, located in the Memorial Chapel library, is a new wellness resource on campus designed to help students relax and recharge. When arriving for your appointment, you can access the MindSpa by entering the mhapel at the basement level on the side of the building that faces Frank Dining Hall. The MindSpa is located in room 110. No need to check in with anyone prior to or after your appointment. Simply stop in, use the tools and space, clean up whatever you use, and be on your way to the rest of your day.
During their session, students can enjoy a variety of calming resources, including mindful coloring, a light therapy lamp, a zen sand garden, a Buddha board, meditation cushions, guided meditation links, and a white noise machine. If you are not familiar with these resources, the space also includes a small guide that you can review beforehand.
The MindSpa offers a peaceful, screen-free space where students can take a break from academics and prioritize their well-being through intentional self-care. Shaw Wellness, SGA, and the chaplains hope this space provides students with a peaceful retreat to relax, recharge, and prioritize their well-being.
NEW! Second MindSpa location added starting Friday, April 25:
Starting on Friday, April 25, students can begin booking appointments at a second MindSpa location in Case-Geyer Library. This space will be set up with similar resources to the MindSpa in the chapel. Students will use a separate QR code to book appointments in the Case-Geyer space or access appointment scheduling by following Appointments will be available beginning at 8 a.m. and the last appointment at 9:30 p.m. Prior to your scheduled appointment time, visit the reception desk on the 3rd floor in Case-Geyer. Use the space as a little break from studying or to incorporate self care in your day, or both!
