Professor of English and Creative Writing Jennifer Brice has been appointed to serve as Gretchen Hoadley Burke ’81 Endowed Chair in regional studies for the 2025–26 academic year.

In King: A Life, author Jonathan Eig focuses on Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of faith-based radicalism. During his Feb. 11 lecture at 51�Թ���, Beyond The Dream: Embracing a More Complicated Martin Luther King, Eig said he believes King would be horrified at how his activism and writings have been overshadowed by a modern, more palatable version of the civil rights leader.

Reverberations, the 2025 Senior Art Exhibition at 51�Թ���’s Clifford Art Gallery, showcases the work of 51�Թ���’s graduating studio art and art history majors, developed as part of their senior capstone courses in the fall.

Netflix co-founder and former CEO Marc Randolph will deliver the keynote address during 51�Թ���’s Arts, Creativity, and Innovation Weekend on April 4.
